Your Long-Term Care Ombudsman is here to serve
residents of nursing homes and residential care facilities for
the elderly and their families. We serve all long-term care
facilities for the elderly throughout Contra Costa County.
We can help residents to:
- Ask for what they want and need.
- Understand what to expect from their nursing home or
residential care facility.
- Resolve a complaint or address a concern expressed by
the resident, their responsible party or a family member.
Your Long-Term Care Ombudsman helps residents and their
families understand Residents' Rights that are protected by
federal and state law. Your Ombudsman responds to residents'
complaints and works to resolve problems through education,
negotiation, mediation and representation of residents and their
families.
