The Long-Term Care Ombudsman program offers the
following services:

Resident Advocacy - We educate residents, their families
and facility staff on Residents' Rights.  Ombudsmen strive to
preserve the dignity, privacy and personal rights of residents
of long-term care facilities.

Complaint Investigation and Problem Solving -
Ombudsmen investigate and take action to resolve
complaints made by residents and their friends and families.  
Ombudsmen provide assistance in resolving problems about:

  • Residents' Rights
  • Dietary Concerns
  • Suspected Abuse
  • Legal Issues
  • Medical Care
  • Activity Programs
  • Physical Environment
  • Family and Resident Councils

Suspected Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse
Investigation
-Ombudsman Services of Contra Costa is the
designated official reporting agency for all suspected abuse
of elders and dependent adults residing in long-term care
facilities throughout Contra Costa County.
